I'm really thinking that I don't need a necklace, since the earrings and bracelet are so ornate. And the dress has some sparkle to it also. What do you think?
The other question is hair. I like the idea of an soft updo so that I won't have to worry about it all night and my hair will up off my neck. But, half up/half down is appealing because I think it can be more elegant and anytime my hair is down I think it thins my face slightly. Here are some examples of what I am thinking about...

sooo, my thoughts on the jewelry might be affected by the dress, once i see it in person. i will let you know then.
ReplyDeleteas far as hair, i'm not sure i have ever seen your hair half up? how would that be possible? i agree with something soft. i think we should do a test run, just rough, when i see you next week (next week!!!) and then talk about it more. sound good? :)
I agree no necklace with big earrings. I saw lots of this kind of thing in NY but as you know, you have to be careful they don't look fake or cheap. I saw some lovely afffordable ones at Henri Bendel in NY. I can show this to Wendy who took us to the wholesale places. She offered to take us if we want to plan a trip to NY?
ReplyDeleteI like the ideas above. Are you letting your hair grow long?
ReplyDeleteNevien is bringing me samples of floral ideas on the 22nd so I can bring them home for you to see.
ReplyDeleteI echo Joani's comments: you must see the jewelry in person because A LOT of it looks cheap. I'm not a huge fan of the bracelet - I think you need to try it on. Also, on the hair, are you growing your hair out? If so, the half up could look really nice but I think I'm leaning toward the up-do!
ReplyDeleteThis is an online place, but seems very reputable. Tejani.com. I'll try and see if they have a store somewhere. I'm keeping my hair long, but it wont be as long as the women in these photos. So we'll see! Thanks for the comments!!! And Chris-I'll show you what I'm talking about next week. :)
ReplyDeleteOK, update. They have a showroom in New York City. Mom (and anybody else who wants to come), let's try and plan a weekend up there to look at all of this stuff.
