Long Overdue Update

Things have been crazy!  I started my chaplaincy internship at Cincinnati Children's a few weeks ago, and it's really intense.  I'm learning a lot, but not quite used to the 8:30-4:30 plus time frame.  I'm also taking 2 classes, so things are super hectic!

Here are some inspiring photos that I've found lately...

This is exactly the right color palette.  Except I'll carry white flowers and the girls will carry red roses.  The dresses would also be great (if they were floor length)...

Candles and red...
Love this dress...

The back is gorgeous too.

I love the chuppah here.  Simple and flowy.
The bridesmaids dresses...black, long and each in a different cut.

Another gorgeous dress.

Ferrero Rochers for the escort cards.  I still think it's a cute idea, although there isn't gold anywhere else.

Aliza found this on on StyleMePretty.  These are Lula Kate dresses, a serious contender as the designer of the BM dresses.  I also love the sashes.

Love the bouquet and the invites...

Love the chuppah and the scenery!!!  I'm still trying to figure out how to incorporate Cinci/Boston/DC into the wedding since all are important cities to us.

I want flats, but I love the idea of having bright blue (something blue) or red shoes.  For just a pop of color!

Lots of Love,

S

  2. I really like the style of the top dresses, just a simple wide strapped v-neck with pearly (or whatever it is) necklaces. I also think bright shoes could be cute, especially since we will have long dresses, so you'd only catch peeks of them.

Love the idea of orchids in the bouquet....my Brazilian friend had them but in dark pink for her bouquet, and it also held up really well.

And of course, I love the Capitol as scenery :)

  3. Oh yeah, and if you wanted to do the candies as placeholders but didn't want gold, couldn't we just wrap them all in tinfoil or something? On top of the gold? Or is that tacky? I think it would still be cute....

  4. Lovin' the silk blue shoe idea and love the invites. Would chocolate covered strawberries work some how instead ?
